2,5 points position : be balanced on your feet, very close from your saddle, body weight on the stirrups and a little in the saddle.
EXERCISE 1 :
For this exercise, we are going to put 2 pads 12 meters before and after a pole laid on the ground.
Come in canter, and slow down to trot between the pads. Pass the pole in trot.
EXERCISE 2 :
This time, we stay in canter, but we slow down (decreasing stride) or accelerate (increasing stride) before the pole.
EXERCICE 3 :
Put a jump instead of the pole.
Do exercises 1 and 2, and jump the fence this time. For exercise 1, you need to slow down to trot between the pads before the fence. Your horse will be in canter after jumping : you have to slow down to trot again between the pads after the fence.
Finally, jump the fence with a regular cadence.
The Rid'Up FUN is coming !
